also become more
recognisable as an icon
The font used on this print advertisement for the name of
the album and the artist is the same as on the cover- white
and capitalised. This also helps to show that they are of
the same product so its easily recognised by consumers.
This shot of the artist is a medium
shot. Her costume and makeup is the
same therefore the theme is
reoccurring. This also makes the
cover iconic and recognisable for the
colours as well as the content and
images used. Her face is covered by
her hair which may give a sense of
mystery to the advertisement.
The colour scheme is red mainly red and pink which
connotes the themes of love or anger. This may be a
representation of the genre of music she depicts
throughout her album.

main artist, her lungs are shown
outside of her body. This represents
the theme she had been trying to
convey as the music might be
something that her audience can
easily relate to as it may be
personal. The shot is effective as it’s
a medium shot which is typical of
print advertisements. It is also one
of the only things with a lot of colour
on the page therefore is easily
recognised as the focal point as well
as possibly having the most
importance on the page as it may
represent a lot of the content and its
genre within the album
The background of this ad isn’t
very clear but it is recognisable
that she may be laying on a
flowerbed. This depicts the theme
of nature which could represent
the theme and tone of the album
she has created. It somewhat
creates a soft, calming theme
which may be something she was
willing to convey to illustrate the
type of music within her album.
The background is also dark
which helps the shot of her laying
on top of the flower bed to stand
out as one of the most important
features on the page.
The font of the album name looks quite fancy and swirly which matches to theme
of nature that she is trying to convey within the advertisement. It is white, as well
as all of the text on the page. This enables the text to stand out against the dark
background, it also keeps the same colour theme throughout to avoid it looking
messy and unprofessional, but rather organised and easily recognisable.

the audience to connect with the

audience to do be able to do with
her music within the album as well.

jacket which could differently create
a sense of mystery. This could
suggest that her album withholds
music that her audience may not
expect from her. Perhaps she could
be introducing a new genre or style
within her music

illustrates a different impression of
the artist. Her eyes are now closed
which again, could create a sense of
mystery as she doesn’t show any
kind of emotion so has become
unreadable. Her hair is different-
whereas in the picture at the top, her
hair is blonde against a dark
background in order to stand out, in
this image, her hair is dark against a
lighter grey background which
doesn’t stand out as much as the
first image but dull enough to be
used as part of the background ion
order for the text in front to stand out
The text colour is all white to create
a colour theme of grey black and
white. These are dark colours
possibly to create a gothic theme.
