Why do we need
     Probability?
• Probability is needed to find the
  likelihood to something occurring at a
  point in time.
Definition of Probability
Probability is the measure of how likely it
   is the some event will occur, a number
   expressing the ratio of favorable cases
   to the whole number or cases possible.
For example the chance of a coin landing
   on heads is 50%. This is because a
   coin has two sides so there is a 50%
   chance that the coin will land on heads
   and 50% that a coin will land on tails.
Definition of Experimental
            Probability
Experimental Probability is the chance of
 something happening, based on repeated
 testing and observing results. It is the
 ration of the number of times an even has
 occurred to the number of times it has
 been tested.
For example to find the probability of
 getting a six when rolling a dice, you need
 to roll the dice many times, then divide the
 number of times who rolled a six with how
 many times you rolled the dice in total.
So in this particular experiment the chance of rolling a two was the
highest because there is ⅙ chance that each face of the dice will be
rolled, but this particular time I conducted this experiment the number
two was rolled the most and the number four the least.
Where is Probability Used?
• Probability is used a lot in daily
  life, Probability is used in such as
  Math, Statistics, Finance, Gambling, Scien
  ce, Machine and Artificial Intelligence, and
  in many other activities.
The Experiment and the
           Outcome
• An experiment is controlled test or
  investigation conducted by someone.
  And an outcome is the the result of
  these tests.
• For Example:
    • If you spin a spinner that consists of the color
      Pink, Blue, Green and Purple, then having the
      spinner stop on any of these colors is a possible
      outcome.
Win? Lose? Tie? Likely?
       Unlikely? Certain?
• The outcome of a experiment differs for each
  experiment for example if you have a spinner
  that looks like this:



• Then which color is it mostly likely to land on
  when spun? Blue, White, Black, Yellow or Red?
  Which one is least likely? Does anything tie
  here?

  Probability Knowledge.
