- 2. 13/4/15 Today we hada classdiscussionsharingourideaswiththe classandteacherthisisbecause we wantedfeedbackonthe film fromsomeoneelseisperspective, thishelpedusalot because we understoodwhysome partsof the filmcouldnotbe includedasitwouldnotbe clearto the audience whatishappeninginsome sectionsof the filmalsothatithas to be realisticassome of the eventsthatwill occurinthe filmwouldn’tactuallyhappenindaytodaylife. 1/4/15 Today we decidedonwhatjobsme and Emmanuel are goingtodo, fittingare skillstothe certain jobsthat workedwell.We decidedthatEmmanuel wasgoingtothe scriptbecause he isgood with Englishandhe is more imaginative andwillchange thingsif he comesupwitha betteridea. Hisnext jobthat was givento Emmanuel was‘productionroles.The jobthatIwas givenwas‘recce, storyboard,andshootinglist.The reasonwhyIgot giventhese rolesisbecause Iam more creative whichmeanswhendoingthe shotlistIwouldknow whatshotwouldlookmore effective when filmingandwhatwill catchthe audience attention. 15/4/15 Everyone continuedwhattheyweredoingIcontinueddoingthe recce,goingoutside andtaking picturesforthe recce. The reece includedlistof actorsand whytheyare suitable forthe partand whatcostumesisneeded. Ialsodidthe locationandactor release formthiswasbecause itwas easierforme to do itas I knewthe actorsand the locationwasat myhouse so I couldjustask the ownerwhichwasmy parentsto signthe form. 21/4/15 I continueddoingthe Reece writingaboutthe potentialhazardsthatcan occur whenfilmingduring the day/night.Emmanuel carriedondoingthe scriptforthe film. The locationReece helpedusasit will save time whenfilmingatthe locationaswe wouldknow if the place istoo windyfilmthenwe have to re locate or if the place was goingto busy. 22/4/15 The nextday I finishedthe Reece thenI startedonthe shot list,before Istartedonthe shotlisted me and Emmanuel agreedthatwe will have justabove 15 shotsthe reasonwhywe onlychose 15 is because we wantedtosee howeverythinglookedfirstaswe didn’twanttoincludedloadsof shotsif we are not sure if we will use them,whereasthiswaywe know exactlywhatshotwe will use for each scene,howeveronce we are certainof whatshots we wouldbegintoaddmore shortswhich will be relevantand understandable forthe filmaswell asthe audience. 28/4/15 I finished the shotlistandwentontodoing the storyboard,beforeIstarteddoingthe storyboardme and Emmanuel gottogetherin,lessontodiscusswhatorderthe filmshouldgoinandhow long shouldeachshotshouldlastfor.Once we gatheredhow longeachof the shotwouldlastforand whatorder itwill goin. I thenwentoutand startedto take picturesof the shotsthat we will include inthe filmIusedan actor frommy filmandan extra,thishelpedussowhenwe start filmingwe don’thave to figure outthe camera shotsas we wouldhave the storyboard here withuswhenwe record.For my storyboard I usedPhotoshop toeditthe picturesto make itlook realisticandmore

Once I editedthe picturesIusedastarboardtemplate to add the pictures;the storyboardincludedinformationaboutthe lengthof the film, the shottype and the effectsthatwe may use inpost-production. 29/4/15 Today we ae doingautomaticstoryboardwhichispractisingthe shotsforare filmsothisis a practise run many shotsare actually goinggotbe in the filmsowhenwe filmonSundaywe don’thave to rehearse howmanyshotsae goingto be inthe filmwe know how manyshots. 3/4/15 Today we wenttothe locationof the filmat11am we arrivedpriorhour earlybefore the actors arrivedthisisbecause we neededtosetupthe camera and equipmentandtosee if any faultswere inthe camera,because of thiswe foundoutthe camerawas faultyandhad to try and fix itbefore the actors arrivedluckilywe wasable tofix itand filminglastedfor 3-4 hours.Aswe forgot to bring the storyboardwithus due to poororganization we hadto go inside the locationanduse the computerto lookat the storyboard,thiswas inconvenientaswe hadto keepcominginand outof the locationto lookandsee the shotsof the film. 5/4/15 As filmingwasfinishedwe thenhadtoeditourfilmindividually, Iuploadedthe footage ontofinal cut pro and startedto editthe filmby puttingthe filminthe orderI wanteditto go, thisincluded cuttingout some footage andcroppingthe footage. 6/4/15 Today we realisedthere couldhave beensome extrashotsintothe filmsowe wentoutside anddid some pickup shots thisisso we couldtake itback to final cut proand place theminside the shoot. Thiswas to make are filmcompleteandmore affective. 8/5/15 Today I hadto colour grade the footage sothat the colour of the footage will matchthe storyof the film,I alsoaddedsoundin the filmthiscompletedthe filmassoundisthe keyof the filmsothe audience will knowhowthe actorsare feelingetc.
