The artist began by sketching a basic pose and adding details like armor and color. They then took photos of themselves in the pose holding a ruler as a reference for a dagger. After finding armor images to photoshop onto the photos, the artist traced the character in Illustrator and added a contrasting background with light colors on the left and dark reddish tones on the right, split by a stream of water running into light.

Production task 5
- 1. Production I started by drawing a basic pose to add onto progressively After obtaining a pose I liked, I began to add detail into it, i.e armour, colour and background After finishing the draft drawing, I created a draft illustration, a rough idea of what the final product would have been like
- 2. I then got photos of myself standing in the same pose, holding onto a short ruler to act as a dagger template in the later product I photoshopped images of heavy armour that I could find closest to what I’d sketched After adding the final parts of armour and a background similar to what I’d hoped for, I begun tracing over myself in illustrator, making progress with the character first.
- 3. After finishing the drawing of the character, I begun to add the background, trying to contrast between the lighter colours on the left and the dark reddish colours to the right, and both the sides being split by the stream of water which runs into the blinding light
