- 1. Brief Profile of Prof (Dr.) Nand Kumar 1. Prof Nand Kumar obtained Ph.D. degree in Computer Technology from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Earlier, he had passed M.Tech. (Computer Tech.) also from IIT Delhi, PG Diploma in Computer Sc. from the University of Roorkee (now, renamed as IIT Roorkee) and B.Sc. (Engg) in Electronics and Communication Engg from Bihar Institute of Tech. (BIT), Sindri, under Ranchi University. 2. Dr Kumar had been working as Asst. Professor (7 years), Associate Professor (4 Years) and Professor (12 Years) and taught to B.Tech. and M.Tech. students for Computer Science & Engineering subjects in India and abroad. He was examiner of Ph.D. thesis of some of the universities and also worked as Director and Principal in various Engineering Collages in India. 3. Before joining to teaching, Dr Kumar had been working in various Administrative Posts and R&D Organizations. Some of them are: a. Class-I Gazetted officer in the Ministry of Power, Government of India for 12 years as Asst Director, Deputy Director, and Senior Programmer by competing through All- India Engineering Services Examination (IES), conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India. b. Deputy Director in the Bureau of R & D and Industry Institute Interaction (RDII) in All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and was officer-in-charge of International Cooperation dealing with foreign Education Minister, Vice -Chancellors, Directors and high profile dignitaries to India from abroad. c. System Operator (Computer Shift-In-charge) in the Computer Centre of IIT Delhi, and d. Senior Scientific Assistant (SSA) in National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. 4. Dr Kumar was involved in creating Industry-Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC cell) in the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), New Delhi and worked as its Chief Coordinator. He got financial grants for various R&D projects from AICTE and from other sources for the Institute. 5. Dr Kumar was Institute Coordinator for National Board of Accreditation (NBA) team of different engineering colleges in India, when he was working there. 6. Most of his R&D papers are real – life applications of Computer, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for efficient administration of technical institution and betterment of humanity. 7. Dr Kumar was involved in Computerization of some of the activities of NSIT, New Delhi in the year 2000 and became successful in ERP implementation of an Engineering College in Agra in 2011, when he was Director there. The ERP was installed by a software development company, called Global Soft, Sector-61, Noida, NCR (National Capital Region - New Delhi), India.
