- 5. Electronics is the branch of science, engineering and technology dealing with electrical circuits that involve active electrical components such as vacuum tubes, transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, and associated passive interconnection technologies .
- 6. Electronic devices and components Capacitor is a passive two-terminal electrical component used to store energy in an electric field . Resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element.
- 7. Diode is a type of two- terminal electronic component with nonlinear resistance and conductance , distinguishing it from components such as two-terminal linear resistors which obey Ohm's law . Transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify and switch electronic signals and power.
