- 4. Introduction Problem Statement The University of Tayside is a premier University in the USA. It was established in 1966 with only three schools and with its focus on providing excellent and relevant educational services. Today, it has grown to include 25 schools providing specialized graduate degree programs The university attracts eminent scholars as its faculty due to its broad range of innovative multidisciplinary programs. Through these programs and through the earnest exploration of difficult questions, the University provide worldwide students with the intellectual flexibility needed to face challenges in the future. With an increase in no of schools and students, it has become difficult for the staff of University of Tayside to maintain details of applicants.

Goals of the system Goals to be achieved 1) The system should allow the staff of office of graduate Admission to enter details of schools, programs, schedules and application. 2) Provide facility to teaching staff via which they will be able to feed in the scores of students for various semesters. 3) Enable applicants to register online for a course and click the status of their application or interview scores etc. 4) System should provide the facility to the students to check their scores online for various semesters. 5) Provide a query mechanism for the administrative staff to get information about schools, programs and schedules.
