This document presents a minor project report on the Haptic Proximity Module (HPM) submitted by Jeetendra Kumar and Sourabh Kumar to the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Compucom Institute of Technology and Management in partial fulfillment of the Bachelor of Technology degree. The HPM uses ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles around a visually impaired user and provides feedback via vibration and beeps to help with navigation. The report includes an introduction, descriptions of the main components used including the ultrasonic sensor, microcontroller, voltage regulator, vibration motor and other electronic components. It also includes the circuit diagram, programming code, working mechanism, advantages and limitations, and scope for future improvements.
