Michael Airington raised money for disabled veterans through his senior project. He created t-shirts with a patriotic design and sold them for $10 each, as well as accepting donations. His goal was to raise $500 total to donate to the Wounded Warrior Project. He spent 13 hours selling the shirts in front of a Publix supermarket. Through this project, he learned that veterans appreciate caring people more than money or sympathy. He was inspired to potentially pursue a career helping veterans or the military.
