Samsung announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone in Saudi Arabia. The Galaxy S II is Samsung's thinnest and lightest smartphone yet at 8.49mm and 116g. It has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus display. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and allows access to over 300,000 apps from the Android Market, many of which are free. The Galaxy S II also has an 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 1080p video recording, 16GB internal storage expandable via microSD card, and new sensor technologies.
