This document discusses the author's process for designing the front cover, contents page, and double page spread (DPS) of their magazine.
The author analyzed conventions used in existing hip hop magazines, such as simple color schemes, rule of thirds layout, and images of rappers looking directly at the camera. They incorporated these conventions into their own design to make it look more professional and stylistically similar to hip hop magazines.
For the front cover, they placed the main image in the top right hotspot and used monochrome colors with splashes of red. For the contents page and DPS, they continued this color scheme and added additional photos and pull quotes to engage readers. The author's close analysis
