Financial Services Group (FSG) UK
Benchmarking is a key component for an award-winning
IT outsourcing deal.

Issue
FSG was growing rapidly but had realised that its IT
development capability and infrastructure was starting to hold it
back. The only way FSG could access world-class IT services
quickly and without risk was to outsource the entire function.
This was a huge undertaking for FSG, so it brought in
outsourcing to help it select a partner.
This project won an MCA Gold Award because of its
successful delivery of benefits – with QuantiMetrics IT
benchmarking being a significant component.

Insurance Co (IC) UK Life
Benchmarking is a key component for managing
outsourced IT as part of a BPO deal.

Issue
IC UK Life decided that its core competence was in designing
and distributing life and pension products, not in delivering
customer service or the IT systems to support it. It therefore
decided to outsource its operations to an organisation for
which these were core, selecting a new outsource partner. As
part of the deal, the partner has committed to IT productivity
improvements for IC. The parties have used the Quantimetrics
IT Benchmark service to measure and track performance
against this commitment year-on-year.
