- 2. Feedback firstly by Class mates • It is firstly important to gain relevant feedback for our work with not just asking the public. So we decided to firstly show our music video to our fellow a2 class mates here is what they thought of the Video. • Props and costume are good and definitely is of the Genre Hip Hop. • This shows that we were spot on with making sure that our performers costume was appropriate for our genre • Filming mostly studio makes the video look more professional • The Lip Sync is Slightly off and the performance is not enthusiastic enough. • This shows that we may have chose someone who was more confident about doing the performance and that we should have been more organised • I love the ending I thought that was creative especially as the editing was fast.

Facebook comments (evidence) • This is a screen shot of our audience feedback from www.facebook.com as you can see this is what people have wrote about our music video the comments also state what was good about the video with also element from improvement • This particular feedback is great for us as the comments are actually serious and give us good advice on what should be improved. Looking at these comments means that we have met our objectives such as providing the correct props and costumes and cutting the filming to the beat.

What have I learnt from Audience Feedback • I have learnt that audience feedback is essential and determines whether your media products were a success or not and whether or not it was attractive enough for your target audience. The way I got all of my audience feedback was by making my class mates watch my video and then comment on a piece of paper I made sure that it was completely anonymous. I also used Media 2.0 technology Facebook to get audience feedback from a more broader perspective and made a Focus Group I added mostly Media students and friends who are potentially my target audience to this group and asked them relevant questions and not just questions like do you like my video or ancillary products. I believed that using technology was the best option for me to obtain my media feedback and I felt as my method was successful. I think that qualitative research and quantitative research methods both have their strong point qualitative research is a quicker response and maybe involves a smaller amount of people and maybe a more in depth answer whereas quantitative research is more broader and aimed at a wider audience and the response may take longer. I personally prefer using Facebook as the availability is better.

My views of the feedback given from my audience and what I have learnt • From collecting all of the audience responses it is clear that everybody enjoyed our music video which is always satisfying to hear as the producer. • My worry of this video was that because our video did not include typical Hip Hop conventions throughout all of our video that the audience may not of enjoyed the video or think that it was a part of the Genre However from the audience responses it showed that they did identify the genre they mentioned the costume Mise en scene and lighting was what identified the Genre the Most. Most of our feedback was fairly positive with only 1 or 2 aspects. • I think we did need to improve our lip syncing however we weren't to familiar with the programme so therefore technological determinism was the case in particular as our knowledge was fairly basic. • Another improvement that we could make is we should have been more organised and perhaps chose a more confident artist as the performance was not as good as it could have been.
