The paper presents a random pulse width modulation (RPWM) technique for a 4-level inverter in an open-end winding induction motor configuration, utilizing random sampling of reference voltage space vectors. This method avoids sector identification and implements effective switching through a specialized DSP platform, demonstrating lower harmonic distortion and less stress on power devices compared to conventional methods. Experimental results validate the proposed approach for various modulation indices, showcasing its practical applications in improving inverter performance.
