I am a highly dedicated and self-motivated individual offering extensive experience in all aspects of
the retail merchandise process, ranging from store execution to buying. I am highly skilled in
collaborating with key internal departments, suppliers and other key functional areas of the business
from my experiences in total store operations, regional buying experience and my academic studies.

 Buying for the following categories for the KZN Region and Swaziland:
Toiletries, Health and Beauty and Groceries
 Stock procurement for the regions Hypermarkets, Supermarkets and Franchise Stores.
 Buying commodities in to the distribution centers to ensure competitive pricing and product
availability.
 Negotiated product, prices and delivery with suppliers.
 Negotiating rebates and trading terms with the suppliers.
 Monitored and guided the appropriate stock turn levels leading to increased market share.
 Building a balanced assortment of Merchandise to meet and exceed sales budgets, gross
profit, and stock turn-around.
 Source new suppliers and maintain relationship with existing suppliers.
 Analysing gross margins, shrinkage, obsolete stock, dormant stock, overstock and supplier
strike rates (using Business Workbench Portal and SAP R3.)
 Create advertising and marketing strategy for regional advertising.
 Market intelligence on Competitors and ensure a competitive edge are maintained and in
line with market positioning.
