The City of Dubuque conducted a public engagement process to gather input on creating a Resilient Community Advisory Commission. Over 80 people provided online survey feedback and city staff met with 18 community groups. Key areas of discussion included defining resilience, the commission's potential functions around evaluation, engagement and recovery planning, and the role of a coordinator. A recommendation will be submitted to the City Council in June 2016 on establishing the commission, including a timeline and strategic plan. A final report of the engagement process will be available online.
