Fax: 3646900 June 3D, 1996 To whom it may concern: Mr. Magdi Hussin Ismail began working with the Rural Cottage Industries Development (RCID) project in July, 1994 in the position of Credit Specialist. The RCID project is implemented in partnership with an Egyptian NGO, the Alexandria Association for Home Economics with the aim of increasing women's participation in rural economic development through implementing programs in association building, business training and credit. During his time with the RCID project, Mr. Hussin has proven to be a valued team member, undertaking tasks such as developing the RCID credit methodology, developing training materials related to the credit program, organizing a loan committee process to review credit applicants, and supervising the implementation of the credit program. In the course of undertaking these tasks, Mr. Hussin has exhibited good judgement and planning skills, and responsible supervision of his credit program staff. The RCID credit program has been a Successful one with high repayment rates, and Mr. Hussin's efforts are largely responsible for that success.
