Redirect subdomain to webmail

Redirect subdomain to webmail: Hi friends i am sharing how to redirect a subdomain (like “email.example.com”) to webmail (like “example.com/webmail”).After some mistakes learned the easy way to redirect to webmail. First of all login to both cpanel and domain panel for your website/blog. Create subdomain at cpanel: In cpanel,click subdomains I recommend you to create a subdomain other than mail and webmail. Because most of these subdomains may be already used for other purpose by hosting company. So create subdomains like email or domainmail or mymail .I am using email here in this tutorial When you place the cursor in the document root field /publichtml/domainmail will be automatically created. Now just click the create button. Then it shows subdomain was created successfully. Setup redirect for your subdomain : Now this is the most important part where you should be careful to create. Important Note: Kindly note your nameservers for your control panel. Whenever a problem arises you can use this nameservers to login to your control panel. For example. You were not able to enter your cpanel .In this situation nameservers can help you enter into your cpanel. Assuming that your nameservers are ns1.nameservers.com(193.622.1.182) , ns2.nameservers.com(193.622.1.183) .Now type in addressbar (i.e., in browser)ns1.nameservers.com/cpanel. Give your cpanel username and password. Definitely it will login to your cpanel. Now you can try to fix problems. Ok ,letus come back here. In cpanel ,Click redirects.
- 2. Just like below image in the redirect field enter your webmail URL(ex., http://example.com/webmail).You can check the Redirect with or without www. That’s all friends .Just clear cookies and history in browser .Now load email.example.com .It will automatically load webmail .Incase if it is not loading .There is need to do somework. Now go to domain control panel. Kindly understand it may work or maynot work. It depends on your hosting company.
- 3. In a record just set host as “email” and set destination ip address as same as other ip address in a record. Now again wait for sometime reload or clear cookies and history in browser .Again reload. If it still not working then in control panel click redirect and choose donot redirect www. Mostly within control panel step itself it will work perfectly .Hope it helps.
