- 2. Funding Proposal Information Abstract Being a native of Milwaukee’s eastside and living here seems like forever, and has seen good businesses simply just go as time got older. Where there once were homes are now empty fields and every corner has the Indian or Arab owner of a corner store with a liquor license. Many have lived through it once, and it seems to have begun all over again young inner city people having no hope for an honest future. With all the empty buildings and open space waiting to be converted into condos. The BiggTyme Corporation has found the answer to bringing new moneys to the ghetto. Being a design professional and a business man with the natural ability to be an entrepreneur, BiggTyme would like to put a design company in the community. Companies that can help in making this design company happen are Loopnet.com. This site deals with real estate of business buildings. So they will help us find the best location to start selling design products. Another place would be OfficeMax where they will be able to provide any and everything that consist of proper office workings. Just being a black owned business and giving opportunity this ensures a chance to bring in dollars to restore our eastside. A six hundred thousand dollar donation is needed from the Monte Corporation that will help in giving the eastside a new beginning.
- 3. Funding Proposal Statement of Problem A lifetime of living in Milwaukee on the eastside there has been a lot of changes. The thing is that people seem to go away and not come back, and reason being lack of opportunity after college graduation, almost no citywide excitement, and too much violence. This is why people tend to leave and not return to the wonderful eastside of Milwaukee. With the major departure of young America our small inner city businesses will not grow. This brings about empty former buildings that used to show hope for the inner city. Objectives BiggTyme Design will help regenerate the neighborhoods, give hope to the youths so that they may return after receiving a higher education, and improve our unemployment situation. Seeing a lot of properties that are turning into standing trash or just big fields of what used to be there. The plan is to start a movement of investing in this community, and to teach our youths to have an honest work habit and that there is a future in the beloved Milwaukee. Literature Review During research an online real estate company located some places that may help us get started on the creation of this business. LoopNet an “online based company that is the largest commercial real estate service online” (LoopNet.com.2014). This site helps us get a great idea about the areas each property is located along with the previous businesses that occupied the building. The best thing is it also will give me an idea on the flow of the last business OfficeMax would provide the necessary things need to create offices in our newly found office building. They have practically everything, from office furniture to office snacks. With the company’s is based on the city’s eastside OfficeMax is idea for gathering up business ingredients.
- 4. Funding Proposal Needs The neighborhood is suffering from lack of growth. The hood is so use to see the successful hustler more than the successful business man, and some tend to get the too confused. Some figure that there is no escape out the situation. While others find a way to just turn their backs to this problem. My business like many others that were here before will give a sense of hope in the community. With a chance to see the Unemployed finally have a job in the surrounding areas that is reachable. Benefits BiggTyme Design comes with the plan to ensure the felon or criminal receives the soft skills one needs to get out in the world to even start to think about being a success, alone with the yearlong intern program to ensure our future’s growth. The company will be a night eye to the community with arm security that will be on hourly patrol inside and outside the business, and surveillance in each direction of the building. Limitation and Contingencies The biggest issue BiggTyme faces is not enough in city clientele. To combat this obstacle the company has ensured future contracts with a few fortune 500 companies that are in need of constant graphic and media design services. This will allow the company to continue to grow if this community project does not work out. Here at BiggTyme will still work toward the improvement of the city by already having a few other properties that are ready for rentavation.
- 5. Funding Proposal Plan The initial move would be to generate new moneys for the buying of a new location. Next I have to find a location which will have the greatest chance of success. I have chosen the services of an online company called LoopNet.com. This web site is a site to where one would go to find entire office building for leasing or selling, and gives the history of the previous businesses, and has helped to find a spot in a great area to put the new BiggTyme building. The next companies enlisted for services to make BiggTyme into the office of the best designs’ possible will include, OfficeMax. OfficeMax is a place where I can get office supplies in bulk, best office furniture, state of the art technology, and who can run an office without morning coffee and snacks. BiggTyme will also provide a big brother, big sister atmosphere. The employees will be well rehearsed in customer service, and will offer intern positions for the college student, which should ensure a future for the company. Cost Analysis BiggTyme Design cost projection will display all the cost to get this division of BiggTyme up and running. The projection is based on monthly and onetime cost. The monthly cost includes all salaries, rent, utilities, taxes and of course legal fees. The one-time cost includes permits, equipment, promotion, starting inventory, and refurbishing. (See startup capital) Personnel BiggTyme will employ twelve. The twelve will consist of four designers, two receptionist, three interns, two maintenance men, and one security guard. The designers, the receptionist, and security will work eight hour shifts, while the interns will work four hours, two days a week shifts, and maintenance will work in four hour shifts Feasibility This is the second building to be obtained by the BiggTyme Corporation. This means that we have a habit when it comes to grabbing success. Another company named Rista that is in the same line of work I’m in has been making positive numbers. Benefits BiggTyme Design brings hope back to the neighborhood. With a chance for those who haven’t yet got a chance to receive a chance at work and an honest life. BiggTyme also brings stability back to the community with the power of dollars behind it.
- 6. Funding Proposal Conclusion BiggTyme Design is and does major city business that aims at trying to get people to stay here in Milwaukee and build a future. The company shall be able to give donation itself toward rebuilding Milwaukee’s inner cities. Giving the felons a chance to do jobs and receive the necessary soft skills to move on and up in society. BiggTyme will show our youth the real world of finding success, by us proving the leadership, and the ability to educate. This can all be accomplished if the Monte Corporation gives the BiggTyme Corporation a generous donation of six hundred thousand dollar. It will be gladly appreciated.
