- 1. January 2016 To whom it may concern TESTIMONIAL FOR ZENDA JANSEN I am writing this letter in strong support of Ms Zenda Jansen’s job application. Ms Jansen will be an asset in any work environment as she is an organised worker with a strong academic background. I have known her since 2003, when I joined the Department of Educational Psychology as a lecturer. She was the departmental officer (2004-2012), and was a conscientious worker whose punctuality encouraged professionalism. She impressed me with her ability to liaise with students and the wider public in an assertive though respectful way. She was always willing to go the extra mile when the situation required it. On occasion she has selflessly put in extra time to complete tasks or to oversee the smooth setting-up of departmental work. Her communication skills as well as her computer skills remain of a very high standard. Ms Jansen is a very capable lecturer too. As she holds an M Ed Specialised Education, she has worked as the Honours ABET tutor in the telematics (Distance Education) programme since 2003 and has on occasion taught in the Campus 1 B Ed 1, B Psych 1 & 2 programmes. Mrs Jansen has been the tutor on a module that I teach (Honours B Ed Adult Basic Education and Training), and she has always impressed me with her ability to manage a very full work day. Her work is always on time and meticulously
- 2. done. She was a team member in the department’s NRF research project and is currently an enrolled PhD student. Being the dynamic person I know her to be, I wish her well in her endeavour to explore more challenging job opportunities, whether it be within or outside of the tertiary education environment.
