Classroom management is one of the most complicated issues for pre-service teachers to address. It requires strategies for pair work, individual work, seating arrangements, and creating a safe learning environment for students. Classroom management does not mean students are completely quiet, but that teachers have the ability to control student behavior and encourage participation during lessons. This unit focused on classroom management strategies suggested by Brown, like improving the classroom environment to facilitate foreign language learning, and allowed students to understand and practice the ideas during their teaching practicums.
