- 2. The Films To get a good idea of what certain films use we looked at 2 different types of films, Twilight and Doomsday. Doomsday being horror and Twilight being romantic. We could see the differences and even some similarities that are popular to feature in the opening of different films. After seeing both of these films I decided to do a horror film.
- 3. My Film The film will be a horror. A scientist dies after being poisoned in his lab. His dead body goes to the mortuary and then comes back to life, evil and infected. He will then kill the 2 people in the room and then run out of the door. We will then see the reaction of one of his relatives after seeing footage of the killing.
- 4. Doomsday The titles are at each side apart from the important things we need to know such as the date and place which appears in the middle to show its importance.
- 5. Doomsday In the first few scenes black and white is used to show that it is earlier in the year 2008 and not the present day. When it comes to later on in the year it then goes into colour.
- 6. Doomsday At the beginning we get a voice over the top which helps explain and give us an idea of what the film is going to be about. We can also determine what kind of film it is due to the way the speaking is done as it is quite deep and talks about a virus which kills which shows it is going to be a horror sort of film. It also set at night which adds affect to the whole horror idea.
- 7. Twilight Once again there is a voice over at the beginning which shows it is a popular way to start of a film as it is also used in Doomsday. It has the same affect in twilight as we can tell it is going to be a romantic film due to the way the girl is as she speaks softly and about love. The characters also seem loving as one character says “I love you both”.
- 8. Twilight The film is introduced by a deer being grabbed by something that appears to be man which means we can tell from this that the film is going to be something that is not human as this is not normal for a human to do.
- 9. Twilight The music which is used at the beginning also gives a good idea that the film is going to be quite romantic rather than dramatic as it is a soft kind of music and quite slow.
