This thesis examines the role of internet banking in Greece. It explores the growth of online banking services in Greek financial institutions and how they can leverage internet technology. The author conducted a survey of 35 Greek banks. The results show that Greek banks want to expand their distribution channels by using the internet. Internet banking in Greece is becoming a key part of banks' direct distribution strategies. The purpose is to examine how internet banking can benefit both financial institutions and their customers in Greece. The study analyzes the theoretical background and presents empirical findings on internet banking adoption in Greece.
