Woodrow Wilson was the US President from 1913 to 1921 who led the American delegation to the Paris Peace Conference after World War 1. His main goals were lasting peace, self-determination of nationalities, and avoiding future wars on European soil. Wilson believed his Fourteen Points plan was key to future peace and wanted to establish the League of Nations to prevent further wars, but he failed to achieve his goals as he did not understand tensions between France and Germany and had to compromise under pressure from others.
