Canadians have the right to move freely within Canada and to enter and remain in the country. Everyone is entitled to a fair trial and is considered innocent until proven guilty. Aboriginal people have constitutionally protected rights to hunting, fishing, culture and land title due to enjoying them before European settlement. Additionally, all people are equal under the law without discrimination.

- 6. Aboriginal people of Canada have rights that are protected in Canada’s constitution. These include rights for hunting, fishing, culture and land title. These rights are protected by law because aboriginal people enjoyed them before Europeans came to Canada.
