developed for the Minister of State of Foreign Affairs (Diane Ablonczy) and will be used throughout the
department. It consists of an administration module that allows admins to maintain database code tables as
well as a project administration section that allows users to add/maintain project related information. Users
throughout the department can view all projects which are pinpointed throughout the Americas with the use
of Google Maps. The internet (Public) portion of the application is available to the public to view a limited
set of projects which are pinpointed throughout the Americas with the use of Google Maps. An
Administration module was developed for Other Government Departments (OGD) which is available on
the Public Access Zone (PAZ) and uses Microsoft Authentication.

written in C# and uses the Entity Framework 4.0 as the data layer. It uses Role based security through
Active Directory to manage permissions and accessibility as well as Microsoft Authentication for the

The Transaction Management System (TMS) is a secure public facing (WAN) web application that allowed
access to certain Crown Corporations as well as the Bank of Canada and the Dept. of Finance. It allows the
Department of Finance to review and process loans requested by the Crown Corporations. The system
processed loans as well as pre-payment terms on all loans requested by the Crown Corporations.
Multiple financial reports were generated with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). The TMS web

The TOM (Taxation Operations Manual) Filter is a desktop application designed to parse a Taxation
Operations Manual in Word format and convert it to multiple web pages with an Index page that links all
sections together.This was a customapplication that would generate these web pages with the CRA custom
headers and menus and were published directly to the server. This process could take a 300 page document
and create a customwebsite in a matter of minutes as opposed to the manual process which would take
weeks to accomplish.

The Army Scaling Tool is a tool used to create an inventory list of parts used for a mission. Soldiers would
indicate where they were being posted and the duration of the tour of duty and the application would
indicate what inventory was required. Inventory would consist of vehicles, firearms as well as parts needed
for repairs for the equipment that they take with them. This was so that they could be the most efficient as
possible by not taking more supplies than are required and have the necessary parts needed for repair in
case of a malfunction or breakdown.
