A reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) method was developed and validated for the simultaneous analysis of metoprolol and telmisartan in tablet form, demonstrating high accuracy (99.93%-101.09% recovery) and precision (RSD < 2%). The method utilized a development of mobile phase with ortho phosphoric acid buffer, acetonitrile, and methanol, achieving retention times of 2.473 min and 3.407 min for metoprolol and telmisartan, respectively. This technique is applicable for the routine quality control of these combined antihypertensive medications in pharmaceutical formulations.
