Adventure Racing

IncaLink Adventure Team Will participate in the Adventure Racing World Series with the purpose of helping reduce poverty in the Ecuadorian Amazon Despite improvements in the Ecuadorian Economy in the last 5 years, Ecuador is still one of the poorest countries in Latin America. Extreme poverty rates are extremely concerning. Unfortunately, the most affected group are the young men and women in the Amazon jungle where almost 50% live in poverty or extreme poverty. We want to support 5 communities in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon specifically in the Orellana Canton (District). These communities are characterized by their high number of working children who have not had any education and are 100% responsible for their families.

- 4. Orellana This community in the Ecuadorian Jungle is named Orellana. The majority of the population lives in hidden rural areas. • 40% of the population are children between 0-14 Years of Age • 50% of the population are illiterate • More than 60% of the total population don’t have social security • 50% of the population are dedicated to agriculture

IncaLink Adventure Team is a team that races adventure races around the world (USA, Canada, Ecuador, Mexico, Chile) and that spreads out the word so that donors can make contributions to increase the level of children’s life in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Our unique link with the Ecuadorian Amazon allows our donors to be part of a great impact made right there in the jungle. Together we are funding and finding ways that are taking care of children in need. Our way for this cause is through adventure racing!... not through egos, not through competition, but through nature, teamwork, and through exchanging flags: sharing community simplicity, children’s innocence, life’s awareness and ambassadors gifts.
- 8. About the race The Adventure Racing (AR) World Series unites in competition the world's best endurance athletes at premiere Qualifier events around the globe. Each international Qualifier event in the AR World Series sets a unique course to test mixed teams of four for up to ten days of non-stop racing in the disciplines of trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, navigation and more. These races culminate in the Adventure Racing World Championship. Proyecto Aventura and HUAIRASINCHI will be the race hosts and Quito, Ecuador will be the race headquarters for the AR World Championship 2014.
