RWC Highlights
- 1. The Opening Ceremony Hig hlig The Opening RWC Ceremony was held at hts Eden Park Stadium, Auckland, on September 9. For me, the Opening Ceremony of the RWC 2011 was absolutely amazing. The ceremony included cultural dances; music, Sweet Victory! fireworks, festive celebrations and stories of Rugby and New Zealand. The fact that the whole union (as well as other countries) joined A HUGE highlight of the RWC was together to watch the spectacular the All Blacks winning the Rugby performance made an overpowering World Cup itself! The All atmosphere. Blacks bet the French at the final on Sunday, 23rd October. The final score was 7 - 8 to the All Blacks. It was a VERY nerve- The Welsh wracking game, but we achieved the desired Another highlight in the RWC result in the end! GO ALL was watching the Welsh play BLACKS! the French in the Semi Finals. This was a highlight for me as the Welsh, although they were red carded and playing with only 14 men as apposed to 15, Watching the Matches still worked hard, never gave up and did their country proud. Although they lost, they were Another highlight for the identified as ‘Courageous’ and ‘Full of Rugby World Cup for me confidence’. Good on the Welsh! was sitting down with my family and watching all the matches together. I really enjoyed this as we shared a Aaron Cruden lot of laughs and butterflies in the stomach A highlight of the RWC was Aaron Cruden showing NZ how well he moments. I hope that could play rugby after being called to play for the All Blacks, hence everyone had the chance to playing in the RWC. This was very inspirational for me as Aaron, suffering from a cancer in his mid teens, continued to play great watch a great sport with rugby. He started playing for Manawatu, moved up till he got to play their family. for the Chiefs, then he was representing NZ and playing for the All Blacks. He has definitely shown NZ (and the rest of the world) what he is really made of.
