Introduction The STaR Plan is a revolving plan that must continually be revised
STaR Goals The chart focuses on the four areas of the new long range plan
Learning and Teachers Learning is transformed as students propose, assess, and implement solutions to problems
Assessments The online assessment can be used as an example for staff development and as a dialogue with faculty, staff, administrators, and all other stakeholder
Educator Preparation & Development Teachers participate in or mentor others in the development of strategies for creating new learning environments that empower students to think critically to solve real-world problems and collaborate with experts across business, industry and higher education
Leadership, Administration, & Instructional Support Campus leadership promotes a shared vision with policies that encourage continuous innovation with technology leading to increased student achievement
Infrastructure for Technology All rooms connected to a LAN/WAN that allows for easy access to multiple district wide resources for students, teachers, and administrators, such as video streaming, desktop videoconferencing, online assessment and data access
Recommendations   Teachers must incorporate effective use of current technology and integrate the Technology Applications Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) into the curriculum.  Align technology with existing curriculum
Recommendations Require teachers to have at least 40 hours of technology staff development each year. Modify curriculum and delivery of the curriculum constantly. Technology applications must be monitored and progression thoroughly recorded
Final Note Business as usual is no longer acceptable.  Teachers must continue to evolve becoming the facilitator that the 21st Century student needs.
