Practise reading aloud the dialogue ( Role play ) A - Lan, what is Pretty presenting on Sunday ? B - She’ll teach us how to play English pronunciation games. A - Are you going to prepare for it ? B - Yes. My brother is going to play the guitar and I’ll sing the blues. A - What clothes are you going to wear, Pretty ? B - Black brown blouse and jeans. A - How about a small present for Pretty after her presentation ? B - Please bring something not very precious.
Reported speech with infinitive(s)

S + Verb + Object + (not) To- infinitive Advise sb to do sth:  “ You should……” “  You’d better…..” “  If you were……..” * Invite sb to do sth:  “  Would you like………? ” * Ask sb to do sth: “ Would / Could you …? Eg: “ You’d better go to bed early” My mother advised me to go to bed early” Eg: “Would you like to go out for a drink?” He invited me to go out for a drink Eg: “ Would you mind not smoking in the class? “ She asked them not to smoke in the class.
S + Verb + Object +(not) To- infinitive others:   * Tell, ask, order…sb to do sth :  “  Verb……..” “  Don’t + verb…” * Remind sb to do sth:  “  Don’t forget…..” “  Remember….” Warn sb  to do sth:  Encourage sb to do sth:
EXAMPLES: 1.“ Open the door, please” she said to me. 2. “Could you carry some bags, Mike?” I said. 3. “Remember finish your home work before going to bed, Tom” his father said. She told me to open the door I asked Mike to carry some bags. Tom’s father reminded him to finish  his homework before going to bed
2. We often report  offers, promises, agreement, threats and so on S + Verb + (not) To- infinitive FORM :
Promise to do sth:  Agree to do sth:  Threaten to do sth:  Offer to do sth:  “  Shall I help you ? ” “  Can I help you ? ”   S + Verb + (not) To- infinitive
EXAMPLES: 1-  “ Can I help you ”. She offered to help me. 2-  “ I’ll be carefull ”. He promised to be carefull. 3-  “ I will hit you ”. She threatened to hit me.
