Alexandra “Alex” Scott
1/18/96 – 8/1/04
Alex was diagnosed with
neuroblastoma, a type of childhood
cancer, before her 1st birthday.
When she was 4, she decided to hold
a lemonade stand to give the money
to her doctors. She raised $2,000 in
her own front yard from neighbors
and local supporters.
She then set a goal to raise $1 million
and wasn’t going to stop until she
hit that goal.
By the time she was 8 years old,
through hard work and determination,
she was able to meet her $1 million
goal!
Sadly, she passed away two weeks after
reaching her goal. To honor Alex and
her legacy, her parents and supporters
across the country are helping to carry
out her mission.
We’ve now raised $100 million through
lemonade stands, special
events and our sponsors!
Where does the money go?
Research Grants
We’ve funded 475
research projects at over
100 institutions across
the US.
4 of which are here in
Boston.
Travel Fund
We provide gas cards,
lodging, flights, help
with groceries and
more so that the child
can receive the
treatment they need.
SuperSibs! Program
A program dedicated
to comforting,
encouraging, and
empowering siblings
during the family’s
battle against
childhood cancer.
We provide resources to
teachers educating them
on how to talk about
cancer with their
students
