- 1. This is the first shot of my opening sequence. This is a wide shot of the main protagonist, Toby waking up and turning the light on. The use of a wide shot sets the scene for the audience. This, again is a wide shot. This sets the scene and gives and clear idea of what Toby is doing. He is opening the drawer to look for something. This is an extreme close up of Toby getting a match out of the matchbox and striking it. For this shot I used a scorpion camera handle. This is another wide shot, I used wide shots in my opening sequence to cut to and from other shots. This shows Toby lighting the candle on the side.
- 2. This is an over the shoulder shot of Toby picking up the candle. For this shot I used a scorpion camera handle. This is a full shot. In this shot it is showing Toby walking out of the sitting room to the hallway. This is a mid shot. In this shot Toby walks from the hallway into his office/study. This is a close up. In this shot Toby is arranging the drugs on the table with a knife.
- 3. This is another mid shot. Here the main protagonist, Toby is just about to snort the drugs. This is an extreme close up of the drugs being snorted. This gives a sense of intimacy with the audience and they can see exactly what is happening and the reaction of it. This is a close up of his face which is showing the reaction to snorting the drugs. This shows the severity of the drugs and almost discourages drug use. Close ups, over the shoulder shots and extreme close ups are all typical for thrillers. This is a mid shot. It shows Toby putting things in his pocket. A mid shot is used so the audience can see what he is putting in his pocket and wonder why he is doing it.
- 4. This is a full shot. This is showing Toby walk out of the office/study and back into the hallway. This is another mid shot. This shows Toby walking through the kitchen door and into the outhouse to put his shoes on. This is a full shot. In this shot he is putting his shoes on. This is shot is done so it is a frame within a frame which almost seems like someone is watching him. This is a wide shot. This also sets the scene again and you see the main protagonist running towards the camera.
- 5. This is another wide shot showing Toby running onto the road. This is another wide shot showing Toby running, this is from the perspective of someone following him in a car. The lights on the car act as the lighting for this scene. This is another wide shot showing Toby running, this is from the perspective of someone following him in a car. The lights on the car act as the lighting for this scene. This is the very last shot in my opening sequence. It is a full shot showing Toby veer off of the road and climb over a gate and into a field.
