- 2. Created using Celtx 1 1 INT.CLASSROOM.DAY 'Happy Together' begins to play. A neat and empty classroom. We look longingly at a window, it is slightly ajar. Hugo, a long haired tall teen boy wearing an ill fitting school uniform rapidly approaches the window. He opens it slightly and peers out. Hugo gestures for someone (off camera) to come quickly. Noah, a shorter boy with tidy cut hair and a much more fitting uniform hurries towards the window. Hugo starts to climb out of the window, Noah looks around furtively. Hugo disappears... Noah follows. Music continues. 2 2 TITLE Music bridges. TITLE of film. 3 3 EXT.BUS SHELTER.DAY A wide empty street with a tatty bus shelter. In the distance Noah can be seen leaning against a lamp post, smoking a cigarette. He has a worried expression on his face. Hugo is crouched in the corner. NOAH What's the point of this? They'll catch us, you know. HUGO So? Why do you care? You're leaving tomorrow. NOAH Don't remind me. I just don't get the point of this. I'd rather just go home and pack. HUGO Cmon. It's your last day. Don't be a dick.

A bus arrives. 4 4 EXT.STREET.DAY Hugo and Noah are standing in front of a cafe on a wide street. The cafe is closed. NOAH Closed? HUGO Fuck this shit. Noah turns to face Hugo, who is still looking straight up at the cafe. NOAH Well... what now? HUGO (maybe have dissolving transitions that show the passing of time and the characters doing random stuff)

He is struggling to come up with something to say. Noah turns back to face the view of the bridge, and puts his head in his arms with an expression of exhaustion. HUGO How about you come to mine and we just chill in the attic one last time? Hugo puts his hand on Noah's shoulder and they both start to slowly walk away. 6 6 INT.ATTIC.EVENING 'Perfect Day' by Lou Reed starts playing. Noah and Hugo are sitting in Hugo's dark attic. Noah is lighting another cigarette. This is where they usually go to hang out on a normal day. It is dusty but a familiar scene: there are boxes, clothes, opened bottles of beer, a guitar, posters, and more junk. Noah taps his cigarette into an ashtray. He inhales, transfixed on Hugo. NOAH It's just scary, init. I don't wanna be leaving London. and...you. Especially not for this. Who the hell am I to become a doctor? A beat. He takes another puff of his cigarette. Then exhales slowly, looking down at the floor. I don't wanna have to start over. And I'll never see you. I'll have to have a whole new life. A life I don't even want. And I can't do anything about it. And, to be honest, this is the last time I'll ever really see you. I'm sorry for saying it so harshly
