- 1. SCRIPT BOY ALARM goes off. Turns off alarm and rolls over in bed. (Close up and zoom out and pan) GIRL ALARM goes off. MUSIC plays then carries on. Stretches and YAWNS, gets up.(Close up and zoom out and pan) BOY Still in bed. (Medium) MUM The alarm means you get out of bed. (SHOUTING) GIRL Walks to bathroom. (Tracking) BOY Walks to bathroom. (Tracking) GIRL Turns on tap and splashes face. (O.S, pan and tilt downwards) BOY Cuts to mirror shot. Mouthwash, bends head in sink. (Tilt downwards) GIRL Lifts head brushing teeth. (Tilt upwards) Walks back to room, opens door. (Match on action) BOY Walks into bedroom. Flops back onto bed. MUM I heard those bed springs get back up Jamie Adam Stevenson Junior. GIRL Shot of back of head and dressing table with makeup (establishing shot). Applying lipstick (zoom in on O.S.S of mirror). Cut to extreme close up of lips then cuts to extreme close up of applying mascara. BOY Close up on gelling hair. Cuts of different hair styles. GIRL Walks downstairs (low angle)
- 2. BOY Runs hurriedly downstairs (low angle) Pan at bottom of stairs into kitchen – swipe to next shot GIRL Panning shot of mum cooking, girl walks into panning (music fades). MUM O.S.S “I’ve cooked you breakfast, we’ve got eggs, bacon, beans, haggis…” GIRL O.S.S (looks around room) Mum you can see I’m in a rush, Where’s my coat gone? LITTLE SISTER Medium shot How do I look? GIRL Panning shot and zoom out of girl taking off sisters coat (angrily) Ava! Come on! BOY Camera perspective in cupboard, door opens, takes food out and into bag MUM Muffled voice coming from a different room I heard you open the cupboard door, you had better not be taking chocolate for your breakfast again…(Carries on ranting) BOY Ignores Mum and runs out of room. Camera tracks him. MUM Jamie…? Jamie? You’d better not be ignoring me again… Door slams BOY Outside of door. Starts to walk down pathway onto street. On the phone.
- 3. GIRL I’ll be back around 4 Mum Walks out of house and shuts door and walks down pathway BOY/GIRL Wide shot of street, both walking from opposite directions into shot, walk past each other, look back over shoulder. (Extreme close up on faces)
