Film pitch script
Scene 1
Mrs R: “Everybody get on the bus and put your seatbelts on”
(Excited chatter from students)
Student 1: (whispering) “Hey guys… guess what?”
Student 2: “What?”
(All students gather round)
Student 1: (Pulls Ouija board out of backpack subtly)
Student 3: “You’re not allowed to bring that, they’re dangerous”
Mrs R: “WE’RE HERE!”
(Excited chatter) *non-diegetic music begins to play*
Scene 2
Mrs R: “Ok everybody, you have to set up your tents now and go to sleep because we have to get up
at sunrise.”
(Mrs R leaves the group of students alone as she goes to her tent)
Student 1: (whispering) “Everybody, meet me out here in 30 minutes”
(Students silently walk to their tents)
Scene 3
(Dark sky)
(All students leave their tents and gather by the bush)
Student 1: “Who wants to play and who doesn’t?”
(Students look at each other nervously)
Student 1: “Okay right so everyone’s playing”
Student 4: “Who knows the rules?”
Student 1: “The first rule is to be serious because it’s not a game. The second rule is to never use
the Ouija board in your home. The final rule is to always say goodbye to the board. Everybody got it?”
Student 5: “Guys put your hands on”
(Nervous chatter) -
Student 2: “Is anyone here with us?”
(Yes)
(Students gasp)
Student 3: (Nervously) “Who’s moving this? This isn’t funny”
Student 4: “What is your name?”
(Spells Mary-Ann)
Mrs R: “What’s all this noise? What are you doing? We have no time to play board games
(She takes Ouija Board and throws it into the fire)
Student 1: We didn’t say goodbye to the Ouija Board
