SEAclub ● Established in 1969, the Southeast Asia Club offers ways for students and the local community to learn about and experience Southeast Asia. ● Working closely with NIU’s Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), SEA Club is also involved in various outreach projects. 11 ● SEA Club organizes and hosts exciting cultural events and annual student conference. ● SEA Club seeks to build friendships and foster the exchange of information among those interested in the extraordinary region of Southeast Asia.
- 12. SEAclub Community We love for you to help us build a diverse community and become a part of it! Membership Anyone is welcome to join the club and meet with other individuals to make connection and learn more about each other. We do not charge membership fee. Resources We connect you to opportunities and resources such as scholarships, networks, news, and many more from the CSEAS. Events We host fun and educational events for members to attend through the semester. Let us know if you have an idea! Leadership Opportunity We hold a club election and open up executive positions to our members. You will be able to improve and develop many leadership skills. Making Impacts We take pride in making our club and community a home for those who are from the SEA regions as well as for all members to feel belonged. 12
