Southeast Missouri State University is exploring the possibility of adding a new sorority to campus as five of the six existing sororities are over their membership limits. The process of adding a new sorority would be formal and take time, involving forming an interest committee, analyzing recruitment numbers, and making a recommendation to the Panhellenic Council. While some worry a new sorority could take members from existing ones, university officials think having more options could benefit students and help "equalize" sorority sizes on campus.
