- 11. SETDA Recommends RECOMMENDATION #1: Complete the shift from print-centric textbook adoption practices to digital resources within five years, beginning with the next major “textbook” adoption cycle.

- 14. SETDA Recommends RECOMMENDATION #2: Develop a vision and roadmap for completing the shift. Eliminate unnecessary regulations and enact supportive policies. Invest in infrastructure and devices to support the shift. Ensure effective implementation of digital policies.

- #18: Sarah Reeves Young is the Utah Science Specialist for the Utah State Office of Education. Young provides technical support and leadership in the development and improvement of science education in the elementary and secondary schools of the state. Additionally, Young provides statewide training for school personnel of all levels, parents, other state agencies and the public in science. In addition, Young coordinates with colleges, universities and other educational institutions to improve the pre-service and in-service education of teachers, administrators and other school personnel. Finally, Young administers State and Federal grants, implements and monitors State and Federal legislation, and provides technical support in the area of current research-based practices.

- #25: Using word documents, which allowed for review utilizing tools such as tracked changes in the text as well as comments for opinion based suggestions.Only three rounds? This is due to the fact that after three rounds, most teachers felt like they agreed with everything that had been said in the other reviews.
- #34: Dan Funston is the Assistant Superintendent for Plymouth Community School Corporation. Prior to his current role, Dan served as a Social Studies teacher in Northern Wells Community School Corporation for 6 years. Dan then served as an Assistant Principal and Principal at John Glenn High School for 4 years. Dan's most recent position was as Principal of Lincoln Junior High School in Plymouth, IN. Dan is a member of the IDOE eLearning Leadership Cadre and has presented across Indiana on 1:1 programs and eLearning.
