Napoleon showed incredible resilience after being defeated in Russia, almost defeating the Sixth Coalition again through his strategic abilities. However, he faced many challenges including losses of resources and allies like Austria and Prussia joining the Coalition. The Coalition forces grew to include Russia, Britain, Prussia, and Austria seeking to defeat Napoleon once more. Napoleon achieved tactical victories at Lützen and Bautzen in 1813 despite his depleted forces, but the Coalition continued gaining strength and members under their Trachtenberg Plan, culminating in the Battle of Dresden where Napoleon again won tactically but the strategic situation remained against him.
