- 3. • There are a number of ways to set up and operate a successful assisted reproduction technology (ART) Unit. • Facilities in ART ranges from minimal to fully equipped with additional space dedicated to clinical care & research. • There are many factors that go into making of a good ART laboratory.

- 8. Space • A well designed ART clinic have a non-sterile and a strictly sterile area. • Any space within the setup do no compromise with the quality of service. • The guidelines do not specify the minimum areas required for each purpose BUT it should be hassle-free and errorless.

- 20. Disposables • The choice of plastic-ware plays a major role. • Check sterility of plastic wares. • Be user friendly with whatever disposable being used.
- 21. Culture media • It is a medium which is required for growth and survival for specific type of cell. • Gametes have their own specific type of culture media to remain viable in vitro. • They widely vary in form of ingredients and technique of use.
