Satoe Indonesia was founded in 2006 as a student-based community
development organization. Its vision is for students to give tangible social and
entrepreneurial contribution to the community.
At the present time, Satoe Indonesia plays an intermediary role by providing
access to financing, marketing and mentoring to small and medium
enterprises (SMEs) in rural areas in Indonesia as well as services in the design
process and implementation of Corporate Social Responsibilty (CSR) program,
working closely with multinational and international corporation.

• Indonesia MDG Award 2011 is a program with the aim of
encouraging the stakeholders especially local governments and
municipalities across Indonesia in the form of awards or
appreciation for their success in doing smart practices in
accordance with 8 targets and achieving the Millennium
Development Goals (MDG).
• Satoe Indonesia won the award category for access to clean water
and basic sanitation.

RUMAH PINTAR (SMART HOUSE)
A community development program implemented by Satoe Indonesia
through “Rumah Pintar” in collaboration with the United Indonesian Cabinet
Ministers’ Wives’ Club (SIKIB). So far, Satoe Indonesia together with the local
community has built “Rumah Pintar” in 2 (two) locations in Ciwidey:
Papakmanggu and Gambung.
“Rumah Pintar” aims to be a community development center, through non-
formal education programs such as art, creativity and technology, health and
environmental programs, as well as craft and entrepreneurship programs.

A mobile community development implemented by Satoe Indonesia through
“Mobil Pintar” in collaboration with the United Indonesian Cabinet Ministers’
Wives’ Club (SIKIB)
Programs developed are similar with the “Rumah Pintar” programs only the
car has the advantage of reaching people with difficulties to access the
“Rumah Pintar” program.

Satoe Indonesia helps producers in rural areas in Indonesia to promote better
trading conditions and enhance sustainability. It focuses on the distribution
of agricultural products from local producers to retail market in Indonesia.
We also provide mentorship for local producers to increase their added value
and quality of products and human capacity building to increase their
knowledge capital.

Satoe Indonesia provides an integrated service of Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) program through the creation of ideas, design process,
field research and implementation, engaging with communities in rural areas
in Indonesia.
Each activity will involve the spirit of synergy of all stakeholders to continue
building and creating prosperity and will ultimately creating self-reliance of
communities involved in the program.
SBM-ITB GOLF TOURNAMENT
2006 - 2012
SBM-ITB Golf Tournament is an annual
event organized by undergraduate
students of SBM-ITB. The event was
held since 2006 by the first cohort of
SBM-ITB.
The annual event SBM-ITB Golf
Tournament is a fundraising event for
Satoe Indonesia, a non-profit
organization founded by students of
SBM-ITB and is engaged in the
development of rural areas in
Indonesia. This organization is also a
foundation for community service as a
part of its students’ curriculum.

“CIWIDEY PINTAR”
HSBC Indonesia and Satoe Indonesia
launches HSBC “Ciwidey Pintar” on
March 10, 2012 in the village of
Mekarsari, Ciwidey, Bandung. This
program was launched as part of the
global HSBC Future First program to
address the lack of educational
facilities for children around the
world.
HSBC “Ciwidey Pintar”program, took
place in Mekarsari, a small village with
an area of ​​5,306 acres, adjacent to the
tourist area of ​​Kawah Putih. More than
68% of the total area is in the form of
forest area at an altitude of 1,400-
1,800m above sea level and about 52%
of the Mekarsari population is aged
productive and worked as a farmer.

YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR
CHALLENGE
To promote innovation, creativity and
improving the business skills of young
talents, HSBC Indonesia launched the
Young Entrepreneurship Challenge
2012 on March 3, 2012.
HSBC Young Entrepreneur Challenge is
a business plan writing competition
that provides an opportunity for local
undergraduate and post-graduate
students to demonstrate
entrepreneurial skills, practical
business knowledge and business
creativity.

2012 - BIOGAS PLANT AND
FACILITY PILOT PROJECT
The biogas pilot project focuses on the
rural areas of West Java. It aims to
provide rural households with biogas
that can be used for heating, cooking,
and electricity at a much lower price
than the market one, while at the
same time tackling the problems of
water pollution that occurs due to
inadequate waste management habits.
The community-based ownership
model allows the customers to avoid
high up-front costs and relies heavily
on the trust and connections within
the community.

The annual event SBM-ITB Golf Tournament is a fundraising event for Satoe Indonesia, a non-profit organization founded by students of SBM-ITB and is engaged in the development of rural areas in Indonesia.   • 29. 2012 - HSBC INDONESIA “CIWIDEY PINTAR” HSBC Indonesia and Satoe Indonesia launches HSBC “Ciwidey Pintar” on March 10, 2012 in the village of Mekarsari, Ciwidey, Bandung. This program was launched as part of the global HSBC Future First program to address the lack of educational facilities for children around the world. HSBC “Ciwidey Pintar”program, took place in Mekarsari, a small village with an area of ​​5,306 acres, adjacent to the tourist area of ​​Kawah Putih.
