- 1. Script template for “Silence” FADE IN: EXT. INFRONT OF A HOUSE DOOR. DAY In the morning, a cleaner unlocks the door to a client’s house and walks in. CROSS DISOLVE: INT. LOOKING DOWN THE CORRIDOR TO THE DOORWAY. DAY The door opens slowly and a silhouette can be seen of the cleaner in the doorway. She steps in. DARCY, The cleaner who is roughly aged 18. She has escaped from a mental hospital earlier on but no one knows. STRAIGHT CUT: INT. TOILET. DAY DARCY cleans the toilet, mirror and basin STRAIGHT CUT: INT. OFFICE. DAY DARCY cleans the desk, computer screen and lamp. STRAIGHT CUT: INT. LIVING ROOM. DAY DARCY picks up the note from the table and reads it. DARCY looks really annoyed and angry. DARCY tears up the letter. Voices and whispering can be heard and DARCY looks agitated. STRAIGHT CUT INT. LONGSHOT OF KITCHEN PLATFORM. DAY DARCY’s is seen walking, horizontally, in front of the platform. However, DARCY turns back and grabs a kitchen knife and walks off again. STRAIGHT CUT: INT. A CHILD’S BEDROOM. DAY DARCY grabs the child’s teddy bear from her bed and stabs it with a knife and throws it on the floor. STRAIGHT CUT: INT. KITCHEN. DAY DARCY makes a cup of tea. STRAIGHT CUT: EXT. BACK GARDEN. DAY DARCY sits in the middle of the garden in a ball and rocks back and forth covering her ears as she tries to make block out the whispering. STRAIGHT CUT: INT. KITCHEN, DAY DARCY grabs some biscuits from a tin in the cupboard STRAIGHT CUT: INT. THE DOWNSTAIRS HALLWAY. DAY DARCY sees a family picture hanging on the wall. DARCY grabs the photo and smashes it against floor and screams STRAIGHT CUT: INT. LIVING ROOM. DAY DARCY sits on the sofa and puts the television on with a cup of tea in her hand and biscuits. STRAIGHT CUT: INT. THE TOILET DOOR. DAY DARCY is heard whispering from the toilets. STRAIGHT CUT: INT. THE LIVING ROOM. DAY DARCY’S remains of her tea and biscuits are left on the table but DARCY is nowhere to be seen. STRAIGHT CUT: INT. LOOKING DOWN THE CORRIDOR TO THE DOORWAY, DAY DARCY walks out the door, slamming the door behind her.
