Silentel technology is the serious choice for any
user who wants to protect and secure his voice
calls, messages, chats, sensitive documents,
photos or any files against unauthorized usage.
 Silentel client applications are made for end
users’ mobile phones and personal computers
(PCs). Server modules provide mainly
authorization and mutual connection between
individual users.
 Silentel can be delivered as scalable solution
which meets specific customer requirements.

Standard call between two participants as you
know, but it is encrypted.
Silentel provides unique call quality for secure
communication:
 Practically no delay for secure voice calls (from
700 ms in previous version to 400 ms in average).
 Jitter buffer to totally eliminate increasing delay
during "long" secure calls.
 Even lower average bit-rate for smooth
communication.
 Sound notifications during call establishing and
termination.

Text messaging with encrypted content,
attachments and more advanced
features.
The content of the message is encrypted
before sending. Just after the message has
been delivered to the receiver, the content
is decrypted. Exceed of the receiver,
nobody can decrypt and read the message.
Message expiration - set up a desired
expiration time for text message when
sending to recipient(s). Text message is
automatically wiped after expiration time is
achieved.

Sending encrypted documents, images
or any other files.
In addition to sending standard documents
and files Silentel client application offers to
take a picture or video (using camera),
record an audio and send it as a file to any
recipient in an easy and simple way.
Files are downloaded on user demand –
user can download files immediately (using
any kind of network) or can decide to
download large files later (when LTE or
Wi-Fi network will be available).

Secure chat conferences between two or more
participants.
Users in the chat are able to transfer encrypted instant
text messages (chat), images, audio, video and all other
types of files.
Enables multiple chat sessions (available also on mobile

Secure contact list with user presence status
displays the information on availability of users
(online, away, do-not-disturb and offline).
Silentel application uses own contacts which are
separated from other phone contacts and are only
available when the application is running.
Contacts are only loaded after entering the login name
and password. After switching off the application,
contacts will not be saved in the phone.

Silentel Communication Server
Silentel Communication Server module is the server application representing the core part of
overall communication system.
Silentel Communication Server core functionality:
 client identification and mutual authentication
 establishment of secure channel for signalling protocol between server and client
 providing signalling and service-control messages for clients
 distribution of encrypted communication data between clients
 client status control
 patch management
The main goal of Silentel Communication Server is to provide proper distribution of communications’
data. For all Silentel communication modes, end-to-end security is established (from client to
client). Therefore server never knows encryption communication keys and is not able to
decrypt the content.

Silentel Certification Authority (CA)
Silentel CA is the certification authority implemented by Ardaco, Inc. and integrated with
the Silentel system. Its primary role is to implement public key infrastructure (PKI) necessary
for cryptographic key management and strong authentication within the Silentel system. Main
PKI services provided by Silentel CA Server are:
 issuing a certificate based on a certificate request
 issuing a certification revocation list (CRL) verifying certificate validity
 certificate revocation
Silentel CA Server is usually installed on
the same physical PC as the Server.
It provides web-based user interface using
Java platform. The communication interface
with Silentel Communication Server
and Silentel Operator Studio is implemented
using secured web services.

Silentel Operator Studio is a standalone application for remote management of Silentel
Communication Server and the management of Silentel users and their privileges.

Strong cryptography
 Client and server mutual authentication (RSA 2048)
 Client-server signalization protocol (SIP) encryption (AES 256)
 Communication end-to-end encryption (AES 256)
End-to-end security
 All data transmitted through Silentel system are encrypted end-to-end. It means that data
are encrypted before sending and are decrypted after delivery to receiver. Data are never
decrypted during transfer. Moreover encryption is protected against man-in-the-middle
attack.
 Silentel Server never knows encryption communication keys and is not able to decrypt the
content.
One-time encryption keys
 Each communication is protected by an unique encryption key which is generated during
communication establishment. Each encryption key is destroyed immediately after
communication.

Focus on security
No permanent information
 No information remains being stored on user’s device, not even a contact list. Even when
a mobile device is lost or stolen, no Silentel information will ever be available to anybody
finding the device.
Non-traceable
 Standard GSM calls are not only vulnerable for interception but moreover they are
traceable as well. Mobile operator has records about all your calls and messages – to
whom you have called, when and for how long. Silentel communication is transmitted only
as internet data (similar to browsing on internet) what makes your calls and message non-
traceable.
