- 2. This is an inclined plane. The definition of an inclined plane is a sloping surface . It makes the job shown here easier by reducing weight that the man has to push. The part of the picture that is this simple machine is the ramp.
- 3. This is a lever. The definition of a lever is a straight board that pivots on its fulcrum. The seesaw is the lever because the fulcrum is the middle part and the top part tilts up and down. It helps by letting children have FUN!
- 4. This is a pulley. The definition of a pulley is that a pulley uses grooved wheels and a rope to raise or lower a load and or an object. In the picture the pulley is a metal ball Chain that ,when pulled, goes over a small grooved wheel and pulls up something that Somehow connects the circuit and causes the light bulb to turn on. The kinetic energy is changed to electric energy when the circuit is completed and then it is changed to Light. It helps to turn on the light.

The wheel + axel in the picture is the wheels on the library cart thingy. it helps Those poor librarians who have to transport large amounts of books to shelves. They get help by having it roll so you can use less pressure to push.
