Friends was an American sitcom that aired on NBC from 1994 to 2004, consisting of 10 seasons. It followed the lives of six friends living in New York City - Rachel Green, Monica Geller, Phoebe Buffay, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing, and Ross Geller, portrayed by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer respectively. The show was a major success and cultural phenomenon during its 10 year run.
