My Analysis
Supporting Images
Cinematography
& Camera
Techniques
One of the first of the camera angles is a point-of-view
shot as seen in the picture. I think that the
director has chosen to do this shot because it
puts us in the shoes of James bond. I think that
he has wanted us to feel this way because just
before this shot happened James bond was shot
and it makes us think that he has died. With this
shot we see he is looking down at his shoes I
think that this makes us believe that he is dead
because if you were alive you would be trying to
swim out of the water but he is just looking down
at his shoes as if he is sinking. He is also sinking
into a hole which could be interpreted as hell
which is where people go if they have died. Or it
could be interpreted as if he is getting swallowed
up into a whole new world.
Another cinematography technique he uses is a
medium shot. I think the director has done this
because it gets the full scene in the screen. By
showing a graveyard he is giving away that a
character dies in the film. Instead of using a
medium shot on one gravestone he has used it on
a full graveyard this shows us that it’s more than
one character.

One of the last few cinematography techniques
the director has used is close up. I think he has
done this because he is just showing him being
grabbed by what looks to be a woman’s hand. By
using the close up shot the director is making us
see what he is being grabbed by and the way they
are grabbing him by. The way he is being grabbed
is the way people grab someone if they want to
keep them with them. I also think the director has
used this because a close up gets the viewer is
drawn into the subject's personal space and
shares their feelings.
Visual Effects &
Colour Scheme
The visual effects for this film are the massive
feature of low key lighting. This also fits in with
the genre conventions because it’s another
reason why I think that it is an action film. The
benefit of low key lighting is it makes the whole
scene look eerie and like something big is going
to happen.

Genre
Conventions
From looking at this title sequence I think the
genre of the film is action. I think this because
usually in action movies there is usually blood or
something to signify death and the opening title
sequence for this film actually has this.
Narrative
The opening title sequence has no narrative
Editing
Techniques
One of the editing techniques used in this title
sequence is credits. The director has done this to
provide attribution to the staff involved in their
productions.

Another editing technique is continuity editing. I
think he has done this because it makes
everything flow in a consistent, orderly, smooth,
sequential manner.
Title Credit Design
For the title credit design the director uses white
slim writing. This could be seen as a very serious
type of writing so this could show the audience
that something serious will be happening in the
film.
