They are excited in anticipation of meeting and talking to the author of the book through Videoconferencing. They will be able to listen to her talk about her experience as a writer in New York. Maybe ask about her motivation for writing and a publishing a fictional book of poems written by students at a school in the Bronx, New York. They will also be able to share some of their poems with her. Nikki Grimes will further encourage the writer in them.
