The number of devices connected to the Internet recently surpassed the total number of humans on the planet and according to industry reports, we’re accelerating on our way to an “Internet of Things” (IoT)that will include as many as 50 billion connected products by the end of the decade. IoT is having a profound impact of all industry verticals, is pushing the boundaries of existing markets and allows for the creation of entirely new smart, and connected markets enabled by smart, connected offerings.
