- 4. Midway Elementary School has approximately 45 faculty and staff. Midway offers special education classes for each grade level. The media center has two staff members – the media specialist and the library assistant. The library at Midway is small compared to other libraries. I attended Midway when it was at its previous location. The library there was much bigger than the one at its current location. Vision Statement -- Midway Elementary will be a school of excellence where students acquire the knowledge and skills to reach their full potential as they continue their education and enter the workforce. Mission Statement -- The mission of Midway Elementary School is to develop successful students who will reach their full potential and meet the challenges of work and life. Planning Statements 1. Media center staff will collaborate with teachers to make the media center a place that supports the classroom. 2. The media center will be a place that supports learning and supports the improvement of grades and test scores. 3.
